中超電纜表示，公司尚未享受到與石墨烯電纜相關的獎勵，且尚未接到政府部門關於石墨烯電纜的相關優惠政策。而報道中提及達產的100噸氧化石墨烯/石墨烯粉體生產線，是常州第六元素材料科技股份有限公司在2013年11月18日投產的生產線項目，此項目並非中超電纜投產項目，因而也就不存在公司預計2016年就可實現年產1000噸的說法。
此外，公司表示，常州第六元素是今年11月18日與公司簽訂共同開展石墨烯材料在電線電纜領域應用研究合作意向書的企業之一。根據公開資料，截至2012年12月31日，常州第六元素資產總額3305萬元，2012年主營業務收入17.57萬元，凈利潤-981.63萬元。
